QUEZON CITY--San Miguel fans are not the only ones who are happy that their team is back in the PBA Finals but also the charity June Mar Fajardo has chosen to be given a donation.
By clinching a place in the championship series, Fajardo will be donating PHP100,000 to the charitable institution of his choice.
This is part of Fajardo's pledge this season to help the less fortunate families.
Counting the pledges he has already committed, in which he will give PHP200 for every point scored and PHP1,000 for every three-pointer made, the 6-foot-10 center is now set to donate PHP172,800.
Fajardo played one of his best performances in a close-out game, leading the Beermen with 29 points--which means PHP5,800 was added to his pledge--on top of 14 rebounds, two assists, and one block in a 100-89 win against the Meralco Bolts in their semifinal rubber match on Wednesday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Upon finding out that the amount he will pledge has more than doubled in just one night, Fajardo could not help but smile about it.
"Siyempre nakakatuwa lang," he said after the game.
For now, however, his goal is to finish the business, that is, taking back the PBA Philippine Cup championship SMB last held in 2019.
"Yung goal namin ngayon, isipin muna namin ang finals. Pahinga lang kami nang ilang days tapos paghandaan namin yung finals," Fajardo further said.
However, he is now ready to make the pledge.
"After [the finals], mag-uusap kami ni Comm (Commissioner Willie Marcial) about sa pag-donate," Fajardo said.
