Blackwater bounces back from ugly beating, torches Phoenix for 1st win in PBA Comm's Cup

MANILA--Blackwater quickly found its winning ways again after suffering its worst loss ever, taking down Phoenix, 97-85, in their PBA Commissioner's Cup meeting at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.

Three nights after falling to the Bay Area Dragons by 46 points, the Bossing vented their ire on the Fuel Masters, dropping 31 points on them in the second quarter and holding them to just 16 in the fourth to wrest control of the game.

Baser Amer led Blackwater, actually snapped a seven-game losing streak dating back to the Philippine Cup, with 24 points, one assist, and two steals.

Cameron Krutwig added 17 points, 16 rebounds, seven assists, and one block, while Troy Rosario put up 15 markers, 10 boards, and one dime in his Blackwater debut.

Kaleb Wesson put up 28 points, 26 rebounds, two blocks, and four steals for Phoenix, which fell to 0-2 in the standings.
