Bay Area weathers early Phoenix storm to go 3-0

MANILA--Bay Area recovered quickly after an early threat from Phoenix and prevailed, 101-91, in their PBA Commissioner's Cup meeting on Saturday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

For the second straight game, the Dragons were in danger of finally suffering a loss after the Fuel Masters raced to a 29-16 first-quarter lead.

Bay Area pulled away for good in the next two quarters, outscoring Phoenix, 58-32.

Myles Powell again caught fire for the 3-0 Dragons as he tallied 32 points with 10 rebounds, two assists, and four steals.

Glen Yang and Duncan Reid each added 14 points with Reid also grabbing 10 rebounds for a double-double of his own.

Javee Mocon put up 22 points, one rebound, two assists, two steals, and one block, Tyler Tio added 21 points and two assists, and Kaleb Wesson made 17 markers, 18 boards, one dime, and three swats for the Fuel Masters, who fell to 0-3.
