MANILA--Encho Serrano took flight on Wednesday to lift Phoenix to a 92-83 win against Rain Or Shine in their PBA Commissioner's Cup game at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

While Tyler Tio has been running the show this conference, especially during the Fuel Masters' ongoing winning streak, it was their other prized rookie's turn to shine this time, scoring crucial baskets to make up for Tio's off-night even as he helped keep them afloat in the fourth quarter despite Kaleb Wesson's foul trouble.

Serrano finished with a career-high 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting, five rebounds, five assists, and one block for Phoenix, which is now the hottest team in the Commissioner's Cup with its fourth straight win.

Wesson led the team with 21 points, 17 rebounds, four assists, five blocks, and one steal.

Steve Taylor made 16 markers, 19 boards, three dimes, and three swipes to lead ROS, which fell to 3-4.
