MANILA—Leading sports news portal MCW Sports has confirmed their partnership with Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League’s (MPBL) Pasig City Basketball Team.

MCW Sports will be the official sponsor of the Pasig City team, which is in the seccnd position in the North division of the MPBL within just 3 years of returning to a professional league.

Starting with the 2022-23 MPBL season, MCW Sports will be seen on the Pasig City team’s jersey and uniforms in addition to collaborating closely with the team to promote the brand across the Philippines.

This includes various digital and on-the-ground marketing activities, with branding not only across the home venue, but also across the clubs’ digital and social media platforms across the season.

The Pasig City Basketball Team, with Buddy Encarnado—longest-serving PBA governor and two-time Executive of the Year awardee—at the helm, has risen quickly to the top of the MPBL table since they joined the MBPL in 2018.

Their strength not only lies in winning multiple championships across the last three decades, but more importantly, in their commitment to develop and produce promising young players to become the finest players in Philippine basketball.

This is evident from their success with local basketball heroes such as Marlou Aquino, former MVP Kelly Williams, Dennis Espino and Ryan Reyes, among many others.

With this partnership, MCW Sports will be fulfilling their vision of engaging local sports communities more intimately as a platform dedicated to providing a fun and safe space for Filipino fans to root for their favorite teams and obtain the best and most reliable news and updates.

“We are delighted to support Pasig City, which we believe shares our passion for excellence and diversity as we expand our presence more, regionally. We are confident that Pasig City can play a significant role as partner in our greater efforts for community and in realizing our determined intent to further establish MCW Sports as a leading sports news portal in the Philippines. We are excited to embark on this shared journey with Pasig City to make a difference in the basketball community,” said MCW Sports Philippines representative Mark Wilson.

“At Pasig City, we like to be selective and responsible with the selection of our partners and their capacity to work together on adding value for our fans. MCW Sports as a leading sports news portal in the Philippines is a great partner who will be integral to us as in the basketball community and we are extremely thrilled to be working together,” Encarnado added.
