MAKATI--Arvin Tolentino's career game on Saturday night did not go down to waste as NorthPort completed a comeback from 15 points down to escape Terrafirma's upset bid with a 91-85 win in their PBA Commissioner's Cup meeting at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

The Batang Pier turned their fortunes in the second half, outscoring the Dyip, 46-30, to flip a 45-55 deficit by halftime--they were down, 29-44, midway through the second quarter--to the win.

Tolentino finished with 31 points on 9-of-16 shooting including 5-for-10 from long range, 12 rebounds, two assists, three steals, and one block for NorthPort, which won for the second straight time and moved up to 5-5 in the standings.

William Navarro and Robert Bolick each added 12 points with the latter coming close to a triple-double with 10 assists and seven rebounds.

Lester Prosper put up 23 points, 18 rebounds, three assists, and two blocks for Terrafirma, which instead of finally snapping a dry spell even extended it to a 25th consecutive loss overall.

At 0-9 this conference, the club could be officially eliminated from playoff contention with another loss or at least one of these four teams, San Miguel, Meralco, NLEX, and Blackwater, wins its next game.
