Cebu City Chooks wins Chooks Quest 2.0, earns spot in FIBA 3x3 HK Masters

STA. ROSA, Laguna--Cebu City Chooks dominated Manila Chooks from the start before hacking out a 20-18 win in the final of the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 Quest 2.0 on Sunday night at the Ayala Malls Solenad Activity Center.

New reinforcement Marcus Hammonds was somehow a non-factor offensively for Cebu City, but locals Mac Tallo, Mike Harry Nzeusseu, and Brandon Ramirez put up a collective effort to put away Manila early enough to withstand a late bid to steal the win behind Dennis Santos' heroics.

Tallo finished with nine points, Nzeusseu added seven, Ramirez contributed three, and Hammonds had one for Cebu City, which did not just win the PHP100,000 top prize but also won a place in the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Hong Kong Masters.

Santos had 10 points, Henry Iloka added four, Dave Ando had three, and Leon Lorenzana chipped in one for Manila, which settled for the PHP30,000 runner-up prize.
