PASIG—San Miguel shut the door on TNT's hopes of making the PBA Commissioner's Cup quarterfinals after drubbing them, 119-99, in a rematch of the Philippine Cup Finals on Saturday night at the PhilSports Arena.

The Beermen quickly pummeled the Tropang Giga, opening a 28-15 lead at the end of the first quarter, and preserved the huge lead until the end.

Devon Scott led SMB, which moved up to a tie with NorthPort for fifth place at 6-5, with 28 points, 14 rebounds, three assists, and four steals, while CJ Perez added 17 points, six rebounds, three assists, and one steal.

Simon Enciso chipped in 15 points, one rebound, seven assists, and one steal, while June Mar Fajardo and Marcio Lassiter each tallied 12 points with Fajardo also having a double-double with 13 rebounds.

RR Pogoy made 23 markers, four boards, two dimes, and one steal for TNT, which failed to make the playoffs for the first time since 2018.

This also marked the first time that the club failed to reach the playoffs under coach Chot Reyes.
