'Tims' named Blacklist skipper for DPC

By Ivan Saldajeno

PASIG—Tims Randrup will lead the way for Blacklist International as it begins its quest for Southeast Asian DOTA 2 domination.

The newly founded DOTA 2 arm of the reigning Mobile Legends Bang Bang World Champion announced on Sunday night that Randrup has been chosen as the team captain ahead of the start of the DOTA Pro Circuit season.

"Hailed as a rising star from his debut, Tims has always been a solid pillar for the teams he's been part of. As one of the most explosive support players in the game, he's the perfect fit to lead the charge into battle as our captain," Blacklist said in a statement.

Randrup was chosen over fellow former TNC Predator stars Nikko Barcelon and Carlo Palad, who once donned the captain's role before.

Barcelon was TNC's skipper when it made a Cinderella run in TI6, while Palad was T1's inaugural captain for its own DOTA 2 squad.

Blacklist has one and a half months to prepare before the start of the DPC season on Jan. 9.
