PASAY—"The Menace" is back!
Denice Zamboanga successfully returned to the ONE Championship Circle on Saturday after beating Lin Heqin at the start of ONE on Prime Video 5 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
Zamboanga, who is also making her first fight back home since joining ONE, played the striking game and delivered the solid punches that opened a cut in Lin's left eye area.
Lin somehow got her game going in the third round, forcing a swelling on Zamboanga's right eye area.
Lin's gallant stand in Round 3 impressed one judge to give her the lead, but the other two judges had it for Zamboanga for the split decision win.
Zamboanga moved up to 9-2, bouncing back from back-to-back defeats against Ham Seo-Hee, while Lin dropped to 15-5.
