PASAY—Edson Marques silenced the SM Mall of Asia Arena on Saturday after knocking out Eduard Folayang to cap the lead card of ONE on Prime Video 5.

Just when the more aggressive Folayang was already getting the better of his Brazilian opponent, Marques pulled off a one-punch wonder that forced the finish at the 2:53 mark of the second round.

Folayang banked on his aggression and good combinations to get some upper hand within the first two rounds.

However, just as they broke their clinch, Marques connected on a right hook that staggered Folayang even as the latter hit his head on the cushion first before falling down.

But just as Folayang was about to stand up again, referee Olivier Coste stepped in to stop the fight and declare a technical knockout in favor of Marques, who moved up to 11-2.

As a bonus, commentator Mitch Chilson announced that Marques won US$50,000 for Performance of the Night honors.

Folayang, on the other hand, has now lost his last five mixed martial arts contests and fell to 22-13 overall.
