PASIG—Calvin Oftana played hero for TNT after drilling the marginal basket in a 105-103 win against San Miguel in their PBA Governors' Cup game on Sunday night at the PhilSports Arena.

Oftana grabbed the offensive rebound off a Rondae Hollins-Jefferson missed layup and put the ball back in right at the final buzzer as the Tropang Giga prevailed over the Beermen in the battle for the top spot in the standings.

Jayson Castro led TNT, which moved up to 8-1, with 21 points, five rebounds, and eight assists, while Hollins-Jefferson added 19 points, 14 rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and two blocks.

Cameron Clark had 30 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists, while CJ Perez added 25 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and one steal for SMB, which dropped to 7-2.

June Mar Fajardo chipped in 12 points, 13 rebounds, one block, and one steal, but he was noticeably absent in the last play that led to Oftana's game-winner.

Both teams will be out of PBA action for nearly a month as they gear up for the EASL Champions Week in Japan at the start of March.
