Kiefer Ravena returns home to join Gilas training

PASIG—Gilas Pilipinas got one reinforcement from the Japan B.League back home.

Shiga's Kiefer Ravena joined the national team practice on Monday night at the Meralco Gym here, becoming the first Asian import from the said league to take part in the training session.

Ravena joined fellow pros June Mar Fajardo, Calvin Oftana, Arvin Tolentino, Jamie Malonzo, Raymond Almazan, Chris Newsome, and CJ Perez as well as amateur standouts Kevin Quiambao, Jerom Lastimosa, and Mason Amos in practice.

With the PBA Governors' Cup ongoing, the Gilas coaching staff led by head coach Chot Reyes decided to keep the training light for now, calling it a night after just an hour of running the plays.
