MANILA—Maverick Ahanmisi went wild on Thursday night as he led Converge to a 98-90 win against Blackwater in their PBA Governors' Cup game at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.

While the final score was low by the FiberXers' standards, Ahanmisi put up a career-high 31 points to lead them in the attack.

This time, though, the defense was at work as they held the Bossing to just 14 points in the first quarter before dropping 35 in the third quarter to seal the win.

Ahanmisi also put up four rebounds and two assists as Converge formally booked a place in the quarterfinals at 6-2.

Jamaal Franklin was held to 19 points but he too had 15 rebounds, five assists, three steals, and two blocks.

Troy Rosario made 20 points, one rebound, two assists, one block, and one steal, while Shawn Glover added 19 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, one steal, and two blocks for Blackwater, which dropped to 1-8.
