Rhayyan Amsali, James Una move to UST

UST formally welcomed Rhayyan Amsali and James Una to the team.

MANILA—The University of Santo Tomas locked in another marquee transferee in Rhayyan Amsali, formerly of San Beda University.

Amsali formalized his transfer on Thursday in the presence of Tigers head coach Alfredo "Pido" Jarencio, team consultant Bonnie Tan and team manager Waiyip Chong.

Also welcomed was former San Sebastian College Golden Stags big man James Una.

According to Jarencio, Amsali and Una were great additions to the Growling Tigers roster he is rebuilding

Both Amsali and Una will have to serve one-year residencies before playing for three years beginning UAAP Season 87 in 2024.

The 6-foot-4 Amsali played one year with San Beda, averaging 5.1 points and 3.3 rebounds in 15 minutes of play in his rookie year in NCAA Season 97 last year,

The 6-foot-5 Una, on the other hand, averaged 3.9 points and 3.6 rebounds during his rookie year for San Sebastian College the NCAA Season 98.
