MANILA—Adrian Wong heated up in the fourth quarter as Team Greats scored a 158-138 victory over Team Stalwarts in the 2023 PBA All-Star RSJ Game on Friday night at the City of Passi Arena in Iloilo.
The Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots gunner tallied 18 of his 29 points total in the fourth quarter as the Team Greats broke away from a slim 104-97 lead after three quarters.
Wong, who was later named MVP of the exhibition match, also tallied 10 rebounds, three assists, and one steal.
Javi Gomez de Liano led the way for Team Greats with 30 points, with 13 coming in the second period, along with eight rebounds, six assists, and one steal.
Rookie centers Justin Arana and Renato Ular had 23 points each with Arana grabbing 13 rebounds and Ular having 11, and Aaron Black, Andrei Caracut, and RK Ilagan ended with 18, 11, and 10, respectively.
Encho Serrano caught fire for Team Stalwarts with 40 points, with 33 in the last two quarters, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
Joshua Munzon added 32 markers, five boards, one dime, one steal, and one block, while Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser and Tyrus Hill had 21 and 10 points, respectively.
The All-Star Weekend in Passi City in Iloilo province served as the return of the PBA’s annual festivity since early 2019 in Calasiao, Pangasinan.
