PASIG—Boyet Fernandez quickly scored a win as Pasig's new head coach as the team pummeled Rizal, 82-64, in their MPBL encounter on Friday night at the Ynares Sports Arena here.
The home side did not disappoint its new mentor as the squad lit it up from beyond the arc, going 13-for-25 from 22 feet out to help them quickly pull away from Rizal.
Kenny Rocacurva led Pasig with 23 points on 8-for-15 field goals including 4-for-6 on three-point shooting, five rebounds, one assist, and two steals.
Ryan Costelo added 19 points on 7-of-13 shooting including 5-for-7 on threes, two rebounds, five assists, and three steals.
Troy Mallillin led Rizal, which dropped to the cellar at 0-2, with 11 points, nine rebounds, three blocks, and one steal.
