Daniel Gadia hits winner in return as Cebu edges ADT to keep PFL title hopes alive

LUCENA—Daniel Gadia went clutch in his first PFL match back as he led Dynamic Herb Cebu to a 2-1 win against the Azkals Development Team on Saturday night at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila.

Back on the field after serving a one-game suspension for his red card against Kaya Iloilo, the midfielder assured that he will be remembered for something good this time as his go-ahead goal keeps Cebu in step with Kaya Iloilo in the title race.

Gadia won the match for Cebu in the 70th minute as he blitzed past the ADT backline just inside the goal line and nutmegged the ball past Quincy Kammeraad from a very tight angle.

Cebu struck first in the 20th minute when Rintaro Hama headed a putback after Leoford Allen's initial attempt hit the crossbar.

However, just 25 seconds into the second half, Gavin Muens equalized for ADT, which could have meant another heartbreak for Cebu.

Gadia made sure, however, that Cebu will get away this time.

Cebu moved up to 31 points after 14 matches, just five behind Kaya Iloilo, which will visit Stallion Laguna in Biñan on Sunday.
