QUEZON CITY—Don Trollano became the first NLEX player to drop 40 or more as he led the club to a 142-125 rout of Terrafirma in their PBA Governors' Cup battle on Thursday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Trollano led the Road Warriors with 44 points, eclipsing the previous franchise record of 37 made by Sean Anthony in 2016.

Trollano needed only 23 shots for his 44 points, making 17 of his attempts including nine straight triples, setting a new PBA record for consecutive threes made.

Wayne Selden added 38 points on 13-of-20 shooting including 6-of-9 on treys, six rebounds, and eight assists as NLEX moved up to 7-3, zeroing in on a twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinals.

The team eventually matched the league record for most threes in a game with 23.

Brandon Rosser chipped in a double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds with two assists, two blocks, and one steal.

Juami Tiongson put up 38 points, one rebound, five assists, and five steals, while Jordan Williams added 29 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, and two blocks for Terrafirma, which fell to the brink of elimination at 2-7.
