MANILA—University of the Philippines is not yet done with its retooling after failing to defend their UAAP men’s basketball championship last season.

Dugout Philippines learned from a source that the Fighting Maroons have secured the commitment of Filipino-American center Sean Alter.

Alter, who is currently playing for the Fil-Am Nation team in the NBTC tournament, stands 6-foot-9 and has a wingspan of 6-foot-11.

It was previously reported that only the Fighting Maroons approached Alter during the recruitment day for Filipino-American prospects last year in the United States.

Alter commitment came days after the Fighting Maroons secured the former De La Salle Greenhills Greenies trio of Seven Gagate, Luis Pablo and Joshua Coronel.
