CARMONA—Christian Standhardinger brought out the brooms!

The PBA Governors' Cup Best Player of the Conference frontrunner clinched the semifinal series for Ginebra as he scored the winning basket in the team's 87-85 win against San Miguel in Game 3 of the best-of-five affair on Wednesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

Standhardinger found himself wide open inside the shaded area as Cameron Clark decided to provide help defense on a driving Justin Brownlee, and Brownlee dished the ball to Standhardinger for the go-ahead layup with four seconds left.

Marcio Lassiter tried to send the game to overtime, but his fallaway jumper from just inside the three-point line only hit the back iron as time ran out on the Beermen's season.

Brownlee led the Gin Kings, who swept their way back to the finals, with 22 points, 14 rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

Scottie Thompson added 17 points, 11 rebounds, and three assists, while Standhardinger finished with 14 points, 17 rebounds, seven assists, and two steals.

Cameron Clark put up 16 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, two steals, and two blocks for the Beermen, who missed the finals for the second straight conference.
