MANILA—Ginebra pounced on an import-less NLEX squad for a 127-93 win in the PBA Governors' Cup quarterfinals on Sunday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

Despite a slow start, the Gin Kings solved the puzzle that is the Wayne Selden-less Road Warriors by outscoring them, 38-19, in the second quarter to pull away for good.

Justin Brownlee led Ginebra, which set a semifinal date with San Miguel starting next weekend, with 31 points, 13 rebounds, six assists, four steals, and one block.

Leading Best Player of the Conference candidate Christian Standhardinger as well as Jamie Malonzo chipped in 20 points.

Sean Anthony led NLEX, which dearly missed the injured Selden, with 16 points, five rebounds, one assist, and one steal.

Don Trollano and Brandon Rosser each added 14 points with the latter also grabbing 10 rebounds for the double-double.
