Muntinlupa spoils Parañaque's comeback with home win

MANILA—Muntinlupa gave its home fans an early MPBL delight after pipping returning Parañaque, 73-63, on Thursday night at the Muntinlupa Sports Center.

The Cagers virtually shut down the Patriots in the first quarter, outscoring them, 26-9.

Parañaque crawled back to the game in the second half, drawing to as close as nine points, 58-67, with three and a half minute left, but the team gasped its last from there.

Biboy Enguio led the Cagers with 22 points, eight rebounds, one assist, and one steal.

Chino Mosqueda and Kemark Cariño each added 12 points with the latter grabbing 16 rebounds for the double-double as well as four blocks to cap an impressive MPBL debut.

John Amores, their other prized signing, was not activated for the game.

Pao Castro and John Uduba each scored 11 markers for Parañaque.
