QC sizzles in Q4 to edge Bicol

MANILA—Quezon City turned the tides in the fourth quarter to beat Bicol, 85-81, in their MPBL season opener on Monday night at the Star Arena in Baliwag.

The Capitals recovered in time after outscoring the Volcanoes, 29-20, to steal the win.

Ed Doroteo and Joseph Brutas each scored 20 points with Doroteo completing a double-double with 14 rebounds for QC.

PJ Barua fired 23 points with two rebounds, two assists, and one steal, while Wowie Escosio added 11 points, 12 rebounds, one assist, and one steal for Bicol.
