ROS forced to play all-Filipino vs. Phoenix as Jordan Tolbert misses height limit

QUEZON CITY—Rain Or Shine is facing a huge handicap in its PBA Governors' Cup game against Phoenix as new import Jordan Tolbert will sit out his supposed Philippine basketball debut.

The Elasto Painters announced on Wednesday just before tip-off that Tolbert failed to clear the six-foot-six height limit for the season-ending conference.

It was later revealed that the PBA measured Tolbert at 6'6 1/8", missing the cut by a hairline.

With the saddening development, ROS has been forced to play all-Filipino against Phoenix at the Smart Araneta Coliseum here as the team looks to keep its quarterfinal hopes alive.
