MANILA—San-En NeoPhoenix reinforcement Thirdy Ravena had some choice words towards the two PBA teams that suffered lopsided defeats in the ongoing East Asian Super League in Utsonomiya, Japan.

In a tweet on Thursday night, Ravena seemed to have trolled the San Miguel Beermen and TNT Tropang Giga following their lopsided losses.

“And they thought playing here was easy…” Ravena wrote.

The Tropang Giga were dealt with a 99-66 beating by home team Utsonomiya Brex on Wednesday evening, while the Beermen suffered a 96-68 loss to Carl Tamayo and Ryukyu Golden Kings.

Ravena was one of the first Filipino players to have served as reinforcements in the Japan B.League.

  2. ) The PBA is become a shit league, I'm so glad for our young players that they're able to find careers abroad. It's ultimately better for Philippine basketball (playing against better talent). Even funnier that it happened to the most 2 corrupt entities in the league (SMC and MVP). No amount of "fair" trades with weak teams will help you here.

  3. Thirdy's comment hurts because it strikes home. Wake up call for the PBA. We are not what we used to be.
