MANILA—The University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers have emerged as the frontrunner to land the services of SJ Moore.
Dugout Philippines learned from a source that it was the Tigers who can offer the "opportunity and growth as a player" that the former Arellano University Braves standout wants.
Aside from UST, other schools which aimed for Moore's services were De La Salle University, University of the Philippines and College of St. Benilde.
"Among the schools, it was the UST which has the best opportunity for SJ to grow and develop as a player since magkaka-playing time siya doon," the source said.
Moore has said after the NBTC National Finals last Sunday that he has already committed to a school, which he will announce later this week.
The six-foot-two high-flyer starred in the NBTC All-Star Game, where he tallied 19 points for Team Hustle in a 108-91 win against Team Heart.
