MANILA—Are we going to see Arwind Santos, Marc Pingris, and Alex Cabagnot in the MPBL?

On Monday, the Pampanga Giant Lanterns bared that the PBA veterans are part of their initial 25-man roster for the ongoing season.

Phoenix rookie Encho Serrano has been listed in the lineup as well.

A major concern right now, however, is that Santos, Cabagnot, and Serrano are still under live PBA contracts with NorthPort, Terrafirma, and Phoenix, respectively, and will not be able to join Pampanga immediately—assuming they will indeed join the team.

Pingris, on the other hand, has already denied rumors of him joining the MPBL after he was previously linked to a move to the Imus Bandera following his resignation as commissioner of the PSL.

Balti Baltazar will lead the Giant Lanterns anew as they look to add a second championship this year after ruling the PSL Dumper Cup last month.

Pampanga begins its MPBL season on Thursday night against Negros at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center in San Fernando City, Pampanga.
