Filipinas will converge to the 2021 Gold Medalist and their co-debutant for the upcoming FIFA Women's World Cup, Vietnam, Myanmar, Malaysia, and Indonesia, all resided to Group A of the Women's Football tournament.
However, few hours after the draw, the Putri Merah Putih announced their withdrawal according to some reports that rendered only four teams to clobber each other in Group A.
This is the second time that Indonesian women's football team to pull out themselves as they did the same thing last 2021 Hanoi Games.
Filipinas was hailed as the bronze medalist after they won against Myanmar, 2-1, in the Battle for 3rd place.
While the Azkals U22, who held a win, one draw, and two losses last tournament in Hanoi, will encounter the tourney host Cambodia, Timor Leste, Myanmar, and Indonesia in Group A.
The football event for this biennial tournament will commence on April 29 prior to the opening ceremony on May 5.
