MANILA—Five online games will be part of the first edition of the E-Palarong Pambansa this midyear.

As revealed during the press launch on Tuesday at the Orchid Garden Suites Function Room, the popular Mobile Legends Bang Bang and Valorant will headline the events for the inaugural E-Palaro staging.

League of Legends, its mobile version Wild Rift, and Call of Duty Mobile will also be played in the first E-Palaro.

In a format similar to Batang Pinoy, the E-Palarong Pambansa will pit local government units to be represented by their respective Sangguniang Kabataan chapters.

The qualifying phase will happen in June, where the teams will be classified based on four major geographical groups: North Luzon, South Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

The top four teams per region will qualify for the group stages in July, where the qualified teams will be divided anew into four groups of four.

The top two teams after the group stages will clash in the August playoffs capped by the offline finals in Iloilo City.
