Converge whips Terrafirma to open PBA on Tour campaign

PASIG—Converge began its road to PBA Season 48 on a high note after a 119-82 beatdown of Terrafirma in their PBA on Tour game on Friday night at the Ynares Sports Arena.

The FiberXers blasted off in the second quarter, outscoring the Dyip, 35-22, and never looking back from there.

Justin Arana imposed his will inside the paint and led Converge with 24 points on 8-of-11 field goals, 12 rebounds, three assists, and one steal.

Jerrick Balanza added 24 points on 7-of-11 shooting including 4-for-6 on threes, two rebounds, and one assist off the bench.

Mike Nieto tallied a double-double in his first game in purple, finishing with 12 points and 12 rebounds with three assists even as Jeo Ambohot bucked early foul trouble and also finished with a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Juami Tiongson led Terrafirma with 17 points and one assist off the bench, while Isaac Go had a quiet seven points, four rebounds, and one block in his first game back from a knee injury.
