MANILA—The DLSU Green Archers showed why they are a Finals favorite in the upcoming UAAP season after beating down the UE Red Warriors 100-86 in the 2023 Filoil EcoOil Preseason Cup at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City, Sunday.

Fresh off a masterful win against reigning UAAP S85 finalists UP Fighting Maroons Saturday, the Green Archers showed no signs of fatigue after yet another impressive win against the Red Warriors.

"This is also a reminder for us to stay grounded. Yes, that game against UP was big, but just like everything, it's over with. What's important is what's in front of us," said DLSU head coach Topex Robinson who will play again tomorrow in the same venue against the NU Bulldogs.

The Green Archers defeated the Fighting Maroons the other day, 90-83, after mounting an incredible comeback powered by Evan Nelle who had 14 assists, and Kevin Quiambao who scored 21 big points.

Kevin Quimbao had an encore performance from the game vs. UP as he towed the Green Archers to victory against the Red Warriors by putting up 14 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and two blocks. Quiambao continues to build his case for the MVP of the tournament and possibly the UAAP season in a few months as La Salle is looking to go deep into the tournament.

Joshua David aided Quiambao as he had 11 points, six rebounds, and four assists to lead the bench mob for the Green Archers, who had an astounding 54 points scored in the game.

Despite the results, Noy Remogat continued to impress Coach Jack Santiago's Red Warriors squad by putting up yet another 20-point game, his third straight game in that manner.
