PASIG—Sarangani pulled off a major MPBL stunner on Wednesday night after ripping Pasay, 84-69, at the Ynares Sports Arena.
The Marlins caught the Voyagers on an off night as the former surged ahead for a 45-22 lead at halftime.
Pasay tried to turn things around in the second half after erupting for 28 points in the third quarter, but Sarangani held on in the end.
Jeff Comia led the Marlins, who moved up to 4-5, with 18 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and one assist, while Carlo Escalambre added 15 points, three rebounds, and one steal.
Jeric Serrano paced the Voyagers, who fell to 5-3, with 13 points, nine rebounds, one assist, and one steal, while Dhon Reverente added 10 points, 15 rebounds, two assists, three steals, and one block.
