By Ivan Saldajeno

MAKATI—Ub Huishan NE stomped its dominance anew in the FIBA 3x3 World Tour after clinching the championship of the Manila Masters on Sunday night at the Glorietta Activity Center.

Ub, which won it all in the Utsonomiya Masters last month, ruled for the second straight leg this season after edging Futian, 21-17, in the final.

Ub bucked early foul trouble as Futian failed to capitalize and even trailed by four, 3-7, and later by five, 6-11.

Futian made one last dash to steal the championship and cut the lead down to one, 18-17, but Marko Brankovic made a crucial two-pointer and Dejan Majstorovic scored the match point to seal it for Ub.

Brankovic made eight points, while Stojacic, who was later named MVP of the tournament, and Majstorovic each added six and Liu Yuxuan put up one for Ub, which took home US$40,000.

Dimeo Van Der Horst led Futian, which settled for the US$30,000 runner-up prize, with 10 points, Thibaut Vervoort added four, Zhang Dianliang chipped in two, and Guo had one.
