MANILA - The Philippine women's national football team climbs up three spots to an all-time high rank of 46 in the FIFA Women's World Rankings after the June 9 update.

The Filipinas have accumulated 1512.97 points, 16.74 points better from their previous place last March, while also improving to third-best in Southeast Asia and eighth in the Asian confederation.

They switched places with Myanmar, whose three defeats, including two with Vietnam in the 2023 SEA Games last May, pulled them from 47th to 50th.

It was a good second quarter for Alen Stajcic and the Filipinas as they gathered five wins in six matches, including all three matches in the Olympic qualifiers, with their only loss coming from Myanmar in the SEA Games.

The Filipinas also were in the top ten countries with the most points gained, with Bhutan's 64-point improvement taking the top spot, while Jordan suffered the most points lost with 45.96.

United States held on to the top spot, followed by Germany, Sweden, England, and France, while Australia keeps their top spot in the Asian region, followed by Japan, China, and South Korea.

The next update will be on August 25 after the Women's World Cup.
