PASIG—Gilas Pilipinas has finally swung into practice for the FIBA World Cup, but only 10 players attended the Monday night training at the Meralco Gym.

Brothers Thirdy and Kiefer Ravena, Ange Kouame, June Mar Fajardo, AJ Edu, CJ Perez, Japeth Aguilar, Rhenz Abando, Chris Newsome, and Poy Erram were present during the practice session.

However, injuries to Edu and Erram relegated them to observer roles for the night, and with only eight ballers having active participation in the drills, the training session lasted for a little over an hour.

Gilas will hold daily practices until Wednesday here before they open a training camp at the Inspire Sports Academy in Calamba City.
