PASIG—Juami Tiongson blasted off on Friday night to lead Terrafirma to a 110-96 win against NLEX in their PBA on Tour clash at the Ynares Sports Arena.
The combo guard erupted for 37 points on 7-for-13 from long range to lead the Dyip's offensive charge, which took flight in the second and third quarters where they scored a combined 67.
However, it was their defense that showed the way, especially in the second half where they held the Road Warriors to just 43 points even as they stretched their lead to as much as 20 points late in the fourth period.
Tiongson also had six rebounds, six assists, and four steals for a solid two-way game for Terrafirma, which scored its second win in the preseason event.
Gelo Alolino added 14 points, five rebounds, and three assists, Drei Cahilig chipped in 13 points, 14 rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and one steal, and Allen Mina and Eric Camson each tallied 12 markers with Camson going 4-for-4 from the field and 4-for-4 from the free-throw line for a perfect game.
Don Trollano led NLEX with 20 points, four rebounds, one assist, and one steal.
