NorthPort sets tone early on, subdues Blackwater

PASIG—NorthPort pulled away early on and eventually sank Blackwater down, 112-95, in their PBA on Tour game on Friday night at the Ynares Sports Arena.

The Batang Pier quickly got the upper hand and raced to a 32-19 lead at the end of the first quarter.

While the Bossing slowed them down a bit in the second period, the Batang Pier caught fire anew in the second half and led by as much as 26 points before settling for the 17-point win.

Arvin Tolentino led NorthPort with 22 points, five rebounds, one assist, two steals, and two blocks.

Joshua Munzon added 19 points, five rebounds, and four assists.

Troy Rosario put up 17 points, six rebounds, and one assist to lead Blackwater.
