MARIKINA--Don Trollano, Kevin Alas, and Sean Anthony connived for an offensive explosion that would lead NLEX to a 112-104 win against Converge in their PBA on Tour match-up on Friday night at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
Trollano, Alas, and Anthony combined for 84 points, with Trollano top-scoring with 26, Alas scoring 25, and Anthony hitting 23, as the Road Warriors successfully preserved a solid start despite the FiberXers fighting back in the fourth quarter to cut the lead down to one.
NLEX pulled away midway through the fourth after going on a 17-4 run to up its lead back to 14, 108-94, and never looked back from there.
Jolo Mendoza continued his solid PBA preseason play for Converge with 23 points on seven triples, two rebounds, and two assists.
Kevin Racal added 18 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, and one steal, while Alec Stockton and Justin Arana each put up 10 markers with Stockton also dishing 11 assists.
