RIYADH - SIBOL's Mobile Legends team wraps their IESF Asia-Oceania qualifiers group unbeaten as they sweep host Saudi Arabia, 2-0 Tuesday inside the Riyadh Boulevard.
With an upper bracket semifinals slot and their ticket to Iași, Romania both confirmed, the national team decided to let David "FlapTzy" Canon rest for the day and activated GameLab's Jan "XBOCT" Amande into the starting five.
With the classic Angela-Ling tandem from Rowgen "Owgwen" Unigo and Michael Angelo "KyleTzy" Sayson and Angelo "Pheww" Arcangel pulling off a midlane Fredrinn pick, the Filipinos outsustained the Arabs from the get-go en route to a comfortable 13-1 Game 1 victory
The midlane trio remained unchanged for Game 2 with Amande and Marco "Super Marco" Requitano changing their picks for an Esmeralda and Beatrix instead of the Uranus and Claude.
The host delegation have a closer second game in terms of kill score but the Filipinos have them outclassed in the economy game, as despite Lark's Brody getting the kills, Sayson and Requitano had a field day getting 14 of 16 kills.
SIBOL will battle fellow Romania-bound Cambodia in the upper bracket semifinals on Wednesday for chance of the lion's share of the USD 12,500 prize pool.
The hosts on the other hand secured themselves a spot in Iași as they denied Nepal 2-0 in the last chance qualifier later that night
