QUEZON CITY--Chris Newsome is the last member of the Gilas Pilipinas pool that would take the sidelines for the FIBA World Cup as the team officially revealed its final 12-man lineup on Wednesday.
Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas president Al Panlilio confirmed that Jordan Clarkson, Kai Sotto, Dwight Ramos, Scottie Thompson, June Mar Fajardo, Jamie Malonzo, Japeth Aguilar, Rhenz Abando, RR Pogoy, AJ Edu, CJ Perez, and Kiefer Ravena make up Gilas' active roster for the FIBA World Cup.
Newsome still attended Gilas' practice on Tuesday night at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig as well as the team's pictorial during the FIBA World Cup Content Day at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum in Manila.
Already cut from the final lineup are Ray-Ray Parks and Thirdy Ravena, who did not see action in Gilas' three closed-door tune-up games against Ivory Coast, Montenegro, and Mexico, and Calvin Oftana, who was absent in Gilas' Tuesday practice.
Gilas is scheduled to hold practice at the Smart Araneta Coliseum here later Wednesday.
