MANILA - GameLab scores their first victory of MLBB Developmental League - Philippines (MDL-PH) Season 2 as they swept a debuting RRQ Kaito on Wednesday.

RRQ Kaito, the Filipino MLBB team of Indonesian gaming organization Rex Regum Qeon, fielded a mixture of newcomers and seasoned players in former TNC MDL player Justin Ahron "Shocker" Guanga and former Todak member Karl Rouvic "Karl" Devosora.

Seasoned MPL veterans Janus "Y4nusu" Badando and Kenneth Jiane "Kenji" Villa meanwhile sat on the sidelines.

However, the Gamers took the first game of the match with a dominant 10-3 victory over the King of Kings, getting all neutral objectives and downing all nine RRQ turrets against just two for GameLab.

Lance Christian "Imbading" Sibal grabbed the MVP honors with a 2/1/5 KDA with the Terizla, contributing 70 percent of all GameLab kills.

RRQ Kaito tried to go for a more traditional lineup with a Lancelot in jungle along with an EXP Lane Joy and a Minotaur roam, while GameLab went with a roam Kaja to partner with Vincent Brian "Takenaga" Montilla's Hayabusa.

It was the same result for GameLab as they extend their dominance from the get-go with an 18-to-5 victory, with them getting all major objectives except one turtle which went to RRQ Kaito.

Takenaga bagged the MVP nod with a 4/0/7 performance while Jermaine "Aizawa" Fernandez went with a 3/0/12 outing with the Pharsa.

GameLab's record improved to a win and a loss to end Week 1, while RRQ slid to 0-1, with the latter having a chance of redemption on Thursday against Euphoria Esports.
