MANILA--Kai Sotto has finally taken part in some drills during Gilas Pilipinas' Wednesday night practice.

Sotto, who has been the talk of the town recently because of his back injury situation, stayed true to his word last week that he will participate in the national team's training session and showed up with Gilas' practice jersey on.

The practice was held behind closed doors, but in an Instagram story by coach Chot Reyes, the Gilas meeting took place at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig, the designated practice venue for teams that will play their FIBA World Cup games at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

Jordan Clarkson, who finally attended a pre-World Cup Gilas training, June Mar Fajardo, Japeth Aguilar, AJ Edu, CJ Perez, Chris Newsome, Ray-Ray Parks, Kiefer and Thirdy Ravena, Dwight Ramos, Calvin Oftana, Roger Pogoy, Jamie Malonzo, and Rhenz Abando were also present in practice.
