PASAY CITY--Montenegro marched to another comfortable win as they beat Egypt, 89-74, to go up 2-0 in Group D of the FIBA World Cup in the Mall of Asia Arena.

Montenegro got another good game from NBA player and Chicago Bulls center Nikola Vucevic as he tallied 16 points on 7/10 shooting and seven rebounds. Vucevic looked dominant for the second straight game as nobody from Egypt was able to effectively contain him in the paint.

Teammate Nikola Ivanovic added 15 points in just 18 minutes and was named player of the game. Naturalized player Kendrick Perry chipped in 11 markers as well for the Black Mountains.

Defense was the name of the game for Montenegro as they forced 22 turnovers, and then converted it into 30 advantage points off turnovers.

Ehab Amin led Egypt with 26 points but it was not enough to win against the European side.

On the other hand, Lithuania picking up a win vs. Mexico would mean both Montenegro and Lithuania advancing to the second group phase ahead of their matchup on Tuesday.
