MANILA--Rain Or Shine blasted off in the second overtime session to clip Iran, 98-90, for its first win in the Jones Cup on Wednesday at the Taipei Heiping Basketball Gymnasium.

After letting Iran chip away their solid start in the second half, Rain Or Shine found its rhythm again in the second overtime, outscoring Iran, 15-7, to pull away.

Ange Kouame led ROS with 20 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and four blocks, while Andrei Caracut added 19 points, one rebound, and two assists.

Amir Azari tallied 16 points, four rebounds, and four assists, Ali Sharifi and Amir Yazarloo each added 15 points with Sharifi also grabbing 11 rebounds, and Mohammad Rahimi made 10 points, 10 rebounds, three blocks, and one steal for Iran, which is represented by its second team, the same core that Gilas Pilipinas faced during an invitational tournament in China.

In the first game, Qatar crippled UAE, 81-57.
