MAKATI - They may be a tired from the flight, but the Hive still brought the fight.
AP.Bren started their MPL Philippines Season 12 campaign as they deal a 2-0 beating of TNC Pro Team to close Week 1 Day 1 of the league Friday.
Both teams did not change their preferred lineup to kickstart the season, with the Hive keeping their SIBOL main five from the IESF World Championships in Romania, while TNC sticked with their lineup that secured some wins during last season.
AP.Bren started strong in the first game with a dominant 11-2 outing against the Phoenix Army, with the only deaths coming from David "FlapTzy" Canon's Gloo and Rowgien "Owgwen" Unigo's Franco at the hands of John Vincent "Innocent" Banal's Claude and King Cyric "K1NGKONG" Perez's Joy.
The Hive dominated the game from the get go, including securing all neutral objectives and taking down all TNC towers, as well as keeping veteran roamer Ben Seloe "Benthings" Maglaque's Chou on bay.
It was Owgwen who got the MVP award with a 0/1/9 performance with the Franco, including crucial hooks.
The men in yellow and black repeated their dominant Game 1 performance with a 9-to-2 showing in Game 2 within just 15 minutes, as Kyle "KyleTzy" Sayson getting himself a jungle Grock to provide more durability to their lineup.
Bren shut down eight TNC towers compared to just two for the Phoenix Army, while not missing on every turtle and lord available during the fight.
It was Marco "Super Marco" Requitiano's Brody who took the MVP nod with a 5/0/1 KDA and led all players in gold per minute.
AP.Bren will see RSG Philippines, while TNC will try to bounce back against Minana EVOS, with both matches happening on Sunday.
