MANILA - The first midseason transfer of MPL Philippines has begun.
Both Blacklist International and AP.Bren make changes ahead of Week 3 of MPL-PH as well as to start the second half of MDL Philippines.
Blacklist Academy Lunatix will now have the service of Russel Aaron "Eyon" Usi coming into the fourth week of the developmental league, a much-needed boost for the struggling squad heading into their latter five matches of the regular season.
Eyon has previously played in the Season 1 of MDL and has been a key man in their run up until the semifinals where they finally fell to GameLab.
The midlaner, who has also won a SEA Games medal in his career with Blacklist, will suit up for a Blacklist Academt LTX team who found themselves bottom of the table with no wins and six losses in their tally along with a single point, which came against TNCZ4 in Week 3.
In return, Blacklist will elevate Ian "Rindo" Seguiran to their main roster, who was another key man for Blacklist's MDL-PH S1 campaign but is now the third-choice jungler after Avrian "Vri X" Villorente and Kent Xavier "Kevier" Lopez in the MDL.
Rindo will compete for the starting jungler role against Stephen Jasper "Sensui" Castillo ahead of the third week against TNC and AP.Bren.
As for the Hive, they will send midlaner Jan Patrick "Mumukid" Dagdag to their MDL team AP.Bren Hornets, who were also winless but was able to take one point against MHRLK Esports, Euphoria Esports, and GameLab.
Mumukid will bring more familiarity to the Hornets team who were at one point were teammates in AP Esports 2.0 before the merger with Bren Esports, and will compete for the starting midlaner spot with Aaron "Solaire" Orencia.
APBH will have their tasks against defending midtable side Minana Archives and defending champs ECHO Proud for week 4.
