MANILA - ONIC Arsenals secures a much-needed victory against a more favored MHRLK Esports squad in Week 4 of MDL Philippines Season 2 on Tuesday.
Both teams arrive in the matchup with momentum in their side from last Thursday, with ONIC Arsenals beating Blacklist Academy LTX and MHRLK scoring an upset against ECHO Proud.
The Royal Blood puts up an objective-centered Game 1 victory as they did not let James "Jamespangks" Mendoza get a single neutral objective in the entire duration of the game.
Edriel "Minguin" Gallantes grabbed the MVP nod with a 7/0/3 performance from his Pharsa, contributing to 67 percent of all MHRLK Esports kills.
Jamespangks quickly returned the favor and led the Arsenals to a Game 2 victory with the Bane jungle pick getting seven kills and five assists in a 12-9 Game 2 outing.
Despite MHRLK getting the upper hand in the turtle fights, ONIC Arsenals responded with their late-game power spike, getting all four lords in the 23-minute match.
The prized jungler stepped up again for the men in yellow in Game 3, as they dealt MHRLK a close 11-9 victory but ONIC Arsenals control most of the economy from the start.
Jamespangks registered five kills and five assists with a tank-build Lancelot, while Jerry Ian "Chovyy" Nicol puts up 2/0/6 with the Valentina.
ONIC will see another playoff hopeful Euphoria Esports on Wednesday, while MHRLK will try to get their momentum back against Blacklist Academy LTX on Thursday.
