MAKATI - Smart Omega Esports secures their third win of the season with a 2-1 reverse sweep of AP.Bren to open their Week 4 campaign of the MPL Philippines Season 12 on Friday.

Both teams fielded their main five as they came off with wins last week, with Smart Omega beating TNC Pro Team and AP.Bren dealing a sweep of Minana EVOS last Sunday.

The Hive started strong in the first game with an 11-3 showing against the Barangay as Rowgien "Owgwen" Unigo's Mathilda takes ten assists without falling once to ghet the MVP nod.

The "nice one baby" combo of Angela on Patrick "E2MAX" Caidic and Andrew "Andoryuuu" Flora combined for two kills and three assists but was not enough to contain Kyle "KyleTzy" Sayson's Joy.

Smart Omega went in two the second game guns blazing as they dealt a close but convincing 12-4 victory against AP.Bren, capped by a lord steal from E2MAX's Novaria when the Hive was leading by as much as 4,000 in gold.

Omega went on to finish the AP.Bren base in the 26th minute with the lord, with the midlaner taking the MVP nod with two kills and nine assists.

The Barangay held on to their Game 2 momentum as they clobbered the Hive in a 19-6 dominance, as despite the early game advantage from AP.Bren, Omega made sure they hit their midgame spikes as early as the ninth minute

A lord steal from Andoryuuu's Joy spelled the beginning of the end for AP.Bren as the hive witnessed nine quick kills in two minutes, capped with a wipeout in the 12th minute from E2MAX's Angela and Duane "Kelra" Pillas's Irithel to secure the third game.

Andoryuuu's 6/2/4 KDA on the Joy was enough to get the MVP nod for Omega while E2MAX grabs five kills and 11 assists.

The Barangay will take RSG Philippines next in hopes for their fourth win while AP.Bren will face defending MPL PH and world champs ECHO in a Saturday dream match.
