MAKATI - Blacklist International even their odds against ONIC Philippines as they sweep the latter 2-0 to boost their playoff hopes in MPL Philippines Season 12 regular season Week 5 on Saturday.

The Agents returned the favor when the Sonics swept them three weeks ago, with John "Perkziva" Sumawan leading the charge.

However, Perkziva didn't saw action in their second faceoff as Czedrick "Yoshinu" Romero played the roamer position, while Kenneth "Yue" Tadeo remains in the midlane role after a 2-0 domination of Minana EVOS last Friday.

Edward "Edward" Dapadap's Edith's early game aggression proved to be fatal for the Sonics as the EXP laner registered six kills and three assists in a 14-5 Game 1 domination of Blacklist, not letting Dean "Raizen" Sumagui have an easy life with the Martis.

Stephen "Sensui" Castillo tallied a kill and 12 assists with the Fredrinn while Yoshinu and Jem "Jem" Lanojan became primary targets for Blacklist, combining for nine deaths against ONIC.

Kenneth "Nets" Barro's Irithel tried to start a late-game comeback as he took down three Blacklist heroes but a lord dance in the 17th minute saw him falling down to Edward and starting the end for the Sonics.

It was a low-scoring but dominant Game 2 from Blacklist as Sensui's Akai negates Frince "Super Frince" Ramirez's Yve and Nets' Ixia's effect from the mid-game onwards, while getting two assists in the late game.

It was Yue's Valentina who grabbed the MVP nod with two kills and two assists, while Kiel "Oheb" Soriano's Brody grabbed the same KDA.

With the win, Blacklist claimed all three points to boost their total to 19 with 7-5 win-loss record, while ONIC sinks a bit with five wins and six defeats, remaining at 15 points.

The Agents will have a few days off before facing TNC Pro Team next Saturday, while ONIC will see the same Phoenix Army squad on Friday.
